HUM Killer Nails™

Back in March I was contacted by the people from HUM nutrition to review their Killer Nails™ vitamins. At first I was hesitant, while I had heard of the brand I wasn’t quite sure the $20 price tag would make the vitamins that much better than the drugstore vitamins I was currently using for my hair and nails. After giving it much thought I decided to go ahead with the review, and I am so happy I did!
On the left is my before (4/9) and on the right is the after (5/9)
Now I know what you’re thinking, for a month where’s the growth? About a week after I started taking the pills I split the nail and had to file it essentially back to where I started, and during the week I put on my acrylics to give me length for my vacation. I took off my acrylics the week after I got back and reshaped the nail (somehow my nails grow all crooked when I have acrylics on), which took down some of the length. While I don’t have much length to show for this before and after I will say that the appearance of my nails looks much better, the new growth seems to be thicker ( genetically I have incredibly thin, weak nails) and I also noticed my hair grew much faster. Based on the results I had, I feel that 30 days may not have been enough for me, so I purchased another bottle myself to continue using them. I have kept my acrylics off and hope that I will finally be able to grow out my nails and keep them long without enhancements.
Price and availability: These are available for $10 (30 day supply) at HUMnutrition.com or $20 (60 day supply) at Sephora.com
Nice review. I can see that your nail bed looks much healthier.
Interesting. I always wonder about vitamins. Did you notice anything else along with the nails?
My hair grew very fast, I looked back at my birthday pic (in Feb.) and my hair was above my shoulders and it’s now below my shoulders!
I definitely see a difference. They may not be super long, but they sure do look healthier!
Growth aside, your nails clearly look healthier, and that’s reason enough to consider these! Great review!
Thank you!
Interesting. I don’t take hair and nail vitamins (I should) so I may need to check these out
My nails need all the help they can get lol
I can definitely see a difference. The plate looks much healthier and your nails look more hydrated. Very interesting read.
Interesting! I can’t wait to see how these continue to work for you. I might think about it after your next post.
Oh wow, you’re nail definitely looks healthier! I’m impressed! My nails are pretty strong luckily but I wish I could take these supplements but anything with silicon or silica in it makes me break out terribly 🙁 I hope to see another update!
oh no..that’s too bad =(
I can definitely see the difference and I am looking forward to seeing a future update on this as well. I think I’d like to try it out for myself.
hmm. I am very curious. I took biotin off and on for years.
I’ve been taking biotin/ hair and nails vitamins for years and haven’t seen this much of a difference.
Great review, there is a difference in your nails. I wonder what your growth would have been if your nail hadn’t broken and required reshaping, but based on the results, looks promising!
I’m looking forward to seeing results from now on =)
Interesting! I never think to take vitamins for my nails.
you’re right, your nail looks MUCH healthier! I’d Love to see what the growth would have been had you not broken it. I broke mine after I started a new regiment too and wasn’t able to show much growth either 🙁
It’s so frustrating!!
Interesting review! I’m looking forward to seeing how these fare over a longer time span 🙂
