Today I have swatches of Playlist Polish Spring 2014 Collection. Playlist Polish is a relatively new indie maker whose polishes are all music inspired. They have a wide range of beautiful colors at really affordable prices.
one coat of Get Lucky over China Glaze Highlight of My Summer
Get Lucky is a bright lime green frost with a subtle holo finish.
one coat of Peaches over Sally Hansen Bandage
Peaches is a warm golden nude with a subtle holo finish.
one coat of Can’t Hold Us over FingerPaints Black Expressionism
one coat of Can’t Hold Us over FingerPaints Black Expressionism
Can’t Hold Us is a pink to purple glass fleck duochrome. While it looks good on it’s own, it’s much deeper and more vibrant over black!
one coat of Last Friday Night over China Glaze Spontaneous
Last Friday Night is a pastel lavender frost with a subtle holo finish.
one coat True Love over China Glaze For Audrey
True Love is a beautiful light blue with green shimmer and a subtle holo finish. This is my favorite of the collection, it reminds me of Pure Ice Heartbreaker but with a blue tinted base and holo.
one coat Girls Just Wanna Have Fun over China Glaze That’s Shore Bright
4 coats Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is a bright magenta with a subtle holo finish. Indoors you can’t see the holo effect, instead you can see lots of silver micro flecks.
Overall: On it’s own these colors are very sheer and need 3-4 coats to be opaque, you need to make sure the coats are thin and allow for time to dry between each coat. If you try to make the coats too thick in an attempt to do less coats it will take a long time to dry, so several thin coats is key. Once dry these are very shiny, even with top coat they looks very glossy. Since they are sheer they are great for layering, especially over neon cremes as it gives them shine and dimension.
Price and Availability: $6.50 each for full size (15ml) bottles and $4 for mini (6ml) bottles, plus shipping. This collection is available now on Playlist Polish’s etsy shop.
