Fun with Magnetics…

This is the first of my St. Patty’s Day manis and I think it came out super pretty…

 I tried to get creative and add some Hilites green pigment I got from TKB trading, the color came out stunning but sadly made the polish lose all magnetic properties. Since I really wanted to try my magnetic polish I added a thin coat and used the magnetic that came with the set (I turned it sideways to get vertical lines). To make it even better I mixed in a tiny amount of greens sparks into my top coat.

Then I wanted to experiment with the magnetic polish…

Conclusion: using a thick coat and holding the magnet for 30 seconds creates a more defined pattern. I read in a magazine that you could create different effect by moving the magnet. Well, I tried and they lied. Moving the magnet side to side  you still get the image but it’s very weak, moving it up and down creates a dark spot in the center of the nail, moving the magnet in circles does create and interesting pattern but it’s not that special. So for best result hold the magnet still.
