Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre

Today I have swatches of the Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre collection. These are microfine glitters in a clear base that build up to full glitter coverage in coverage in two coats.
This is one coat of the Insta-Ombre shades. Personally I think these have a bit too much coverage, what?! I think if they were just a bit more sparse you would have a better gradient effect, but as you can see one coat offers very decent glitter coverage and you don’t get that “built up” effect.
This is one coat over the nail, another starting halfway down the nail, and a third coat at the tip of the nail. As you can see because the coverage is so dense you can’t really tell the difference between the halfway mark and the extra coat at the tip. I’m not saying these are bad, for glitters they have a great formula and great coverage. However, for the gradient effect it’s too dense.
Grey-diant over Sally Hansen Scardey Matte
Layer on Lilac over Sally Hansen King of Shadows
Jade Fade over Sally Hansen Minted Metal
Copper Cap over Sally Hansen Pink Shell
This is a limited edition collection, so if you like these shades grab them! (I believe they may be on clearance at some locations)
are these polsihes holographic?
No, they’re just glitters that you can layer to create a gradient effect.
It seems a little strange that they added in the silver glitter with the colored glitter. I feel like it kind of diminishes the gradient effect as well?
Wow!!! They are so pretty. I think I would go for Copper Cap. I usually prefer these kinds of nail colors.
I have been debating these polishes every time I stop by Walgreens. I hadn’t seen swatches of them before so I really appreciate it.
Glad I could help =)
I saw these all on clearance not long ago…I still dunno. I can see some art applications, but otherwise I dunno about them.
I find this whole concept so strange. Can’t all glitters basically be applied this way? Copper Cap sure is pretty, though.
