Happy 4th of July…

Today I have swatches of Sally Hansen Color Frenzy Red, White and Hue and Xtreme Wear Beach Ball. Combined these two are the perfect glitter toppers for my 4th of July skittle mani.
Color Frenzy Red, White and Hue has a mixture of red, white and blue glitters of various sizes in a clear base. Xtreme Wear Beach Ball is similar in that it has red, white and blue glitter in a clear base but they are all the same size, medium, hexes. Both of these were on the thick side and had mild bleeding from the red glitter. While there did seem to be bleeding the glitters are still vibrant red. Since the base is thick I used the sponging method to apply them. I applied my base color and let it dry, then put a glob of the glitter topper on my makeup sponge and sponged it over the nail, keep sponging on more glitter until you get the look you want. The sponge soaks up the base leaving behind all the glitter, this way you can get a full even application of glitter without having a thick coat of polish on your nail. Using this method also got rid of the red tint leaving the base color still bright white.
What I used (L to R): Thumb-Sally Hansen Whirlwind White (DCd), Pacific Blue, Heartbeat Creme, Red Carpet, Red, White & Hue, and Beach Ball. Index-Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and Beach Ball. Middle- BundleMonster Angelic White, Sally Hansen I <3 Nail Art Striper Red Rouge, Pacific Blue and Red, White & Hue. Ring- Pacific Blue, Beach Ball and BM-021 using BundleMonster Angelic White. Pinky- Sally Hansen Whirlwind White and Beach Ball.
Happy 4th of July everyone!! I hope everyone has a happy and safe day! =)
